Tottenham have released their new away kit for the 2022-23 season, which has received mixed reviews from fans.
The shirt, which was revealed on social media on Thursday morning, wasn’t to every Spurs supporter’s taste due to the bold design and colourway.
The club have described it as “a deep lapis blue shade finished with black sleeves and flashes of volt on the neckline and cuffs, with the club’s famous cockerel emblem front and centre.”
The kit is a part of the club’s five-part ‘Dare To Do series’, which includes the home shirt that was released last week.
The video revealing the shirt also pays tribute to Tottenham legend Jimmy Greaves, who sadly passed away last September, with a car that had ‘GRE4VE5’ as the number plate.
The club have confirmed that the first-team will wear the away kit for the first time during a pre-season friendly with Sevilla in Korea on Saturday.
But not everyone was a fan of the new strip, with many supporters replying to the club’s reveal with negative feedback.
One supporter wrote on Twitter: “How can a kit be so bad that EVERYONE unanimously agrees that it’s that bad.”
“No way we’re turning up to Bayern Munich on a Wednesday night in swimsuits…” said one fan.
Whilst one joking added: “We’re winning the league in this monstrosity and I’m gonna have to look at it for the next 60 years.”
Antonio Conte’s side got their pre-season campaign off to a flying start with a 6-3 victory over an XI made up of players from the South Korean top flight.
