Tottenham got their pre-season campaign off to a flying start with a thoroughly entertaining 6-3 victory over an XI made up players from the South Korean top flight.

Over 64,000 fans showed up at the Seoul World Cup Stadium to get a glimpse of Antonio Conte’s side in action against Team K League.

However there was one man who supporters were keen to see more than others.

Heung-min Son is arguably the most famous South Korean footballer in history having won 102 caps for them. He’s played his entire professional career in the biggest leagues in Europe.

Returning to his country with Tottenham is not something that happens every day, but Son made the most of the occasion by scoring two goals for Conte’s side.

The 30-year-old isn’t usually put on penalty duty, however he made the most of the opportunity by sending a spot kick straight down the middle of the goal.

Son wasn’t the only attacking force that was on show in Seoul though, with Harry Kane putting in a typically clinical display.

The England skipper also bagged a brace with a rare wonderfully taken free-kick from the edge of the area, as well as converting with a fine solo effort after running from inside the Team K League half.

While it was Eric Dier who opened the scoring with a stunning effort, fans also got their first glimpse of Richarlison in a Tottenham shirt. The other Spurs goal was a Jin-Hyuk Kim own goal.

The Brazilian completed a £60million move from Everton earlier this summer, and while he wasn’t able to get himself on the scoresheet, he’ll have been delighted to make his first appearance in the white of Spurs.

However Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster will have to wait to make their debuts after being ruled out of the clash, with the latter two missing out due to COVID.
