England have the chance to win the U19 European Championship for the second time in five years when they face Israel this Friday.
Ian Foster’s side moved to within one game of glory after completing a second-half comeback to beat Italy 2-1 on Tuesday.
The Young Lions will fancy their chances of beating Israel again, having recorded a 1-0 victory over them in the group stages last week.
England last won the U19 Euros, which is back this summer after a two-year absence due to coronavirus, in 2017.
Back then, a generation including Mason Mount, Ryan Sessegnon and Aaron Ramsdale edged out Portugal in the final to achieve glory.

The European Under-19 Championship final will take place in Trnava, Slovakia on Friday, July 1.
Kick-off at the Trnava Stadium will take place at 7pm.
England and Israel have already qualified for the U-20 World Cup in Indonesia next year after reaching the final.

“Gareth can empathise with coaches in the pathway as he’s worked here,” says Ian Foster to the Guardian.
