Everton will resist any approach from Tottenham this summer for winger Anthony Gordon, talkSPORT understands.
Spurs have shown a strong interest in the 21-year-old who impressed for the Toffees last season, despite the club narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League.
The north London side have also been linked with a move for Everton forward Richarlison but face competition from rivals Chelsea for the Brazil international.
Everton are keeping tabs on Tottenham pair Harry Winks and Joe Rodon, as manager Frank Lampard begins his squad refurbishment at Goodison Park.
talkSPORT’s transfer journalist Alex Crook said: “[Chairmen] Daniel Levy and Bill Kenwright were spotted out for dinner in a London restaurant last night, so I’m sure the names of Richarlison and Anthony Gordon came into conversation.
“We know that Frank Lampard for his part, is keen on one Tottenham player in Harry Winks and I’m told Joe Rodon is also on Frank Lampard’s list this summer, so there could be some kind of swap deal.”
Crook revealed that Everton will have to part ways with one or more of their stars this summer to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations with some players more at risk of a departure than others.
“Financially Everton are going to have to cash in this summer because they’re trying to balance the logistics of financial fair play,” Crook added.
“I think at this stage they’re more willing to sell Richarlison than Anthony Gordon. I’m told they’ll resist any approach for Anthony Gordon. It’ll be a different story though with Richarlison.
“Tottenham are not the only club showing interest in him (Richarlison). He’s on Chelsea’s list as well. There’ll be a busy summer of ins and outs at Goodison Park.
Spurs have been active in the summer transfer market with the additions of Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma and are on the lookout for a new forward to link up with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son.
Meanwhile, Everton are yet to add to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
