Leeds star Mateusz Klich has been showing off his shiner after a clash with teammate Robin Koch against Wolves.
The Whites’ were luckless early on in the fixture as they were forced to make four substitutions with one being for a concussion.
That man was Klich, who clashed with Koch, and Charlie Cresswell replaced him with Jesse Marsch’s side 2-0 down to their hosts.
Leeds mounted an incredible comeback though and won 3-2 despite the changes, breathing more life into their fight for Premier League survival.
And, after the win, the Pole was proudly showing off his battle scars on social media.
Klich was sporting a swollen cheek under his right eye, while he also sustained a cut in the unfortunate incident.
Looking like a golf ball was lodged in his cheek, the midfielder joked: “Anyone lost a Pro V1?”
Elsewhere, goalkeeper Illan Meslier is another Leeds star who was forced off through injury.
He has since made a statement about his fitness with the problem caused in a tackle which saw Wolves’ Raul Jimenez sent off for a second bookable offence.
Meslier said: “Thank you for all your messages! I am doing well considering the circumstances. The comeback and the victory of the team make the pains less. I am in good hands and hope to be back on the pitch soon.”
And Leeds star Luke Ayling has admitted the celebration after his winning strike on the night was a total failure as he attempted to replicate ex-Elland Road forward Robbie Keane’s famous forward roll and gunshot.
Talking about his winner, he said: “I just got my head over it and smashed it as hard as I could! I tried to do the Robbie Keane celebration but didn’t land the cartwheel so I’ll have to work on that!”
