England are set to step up their preparations for the 2022 World Cup during the current international break with two friendlies against Switzerland Ivory Coast.
Gareth Southgate’s side sealed their place in Qatar by recording their biggest victory in a competitive international match when they beat San Marino 10-0 last year.
A number of players have been handed a first senior call-up for the next week including Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell and Kyle Walker-Peters.
The Three Lions have a vast array of talent in almost every position and Southgate must narrow that down over the course of the next few months.
But how much do we know about when England have to finalise their squad for the World Cup and where they will be based? talkSPORT.com has a look…
England at the 2022 World Cup: When will they learn group?
Southgate will announce his squad for Qatar on or around Thursday, October 20.
That is 30 days before the World Cup’s opening match and the date FIFA have set as the final deadline for all 32 teams to submit their full squads.
Southgate has the option of naming his squad earlier than that but he waited until the deadline to do so back in Russia in 2018.
England at the 2022 World Cup: Where will they based?
Southgate’s squad are set to be treated like royalty when they stay in the Souq Al Wakra hotel in Qatar later this year.
According to Sportsmail, a provisional booking has been made for when the tournament is set to start in November.
The Souq Al Wakra hotel is alcohol-free but does boast a private beach, fitness centre and hydro pool as well as a spa and multiple restaurants.
England will then train at the Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium for the duration of their World Cup stay.
England at the 2022 World Cup: What kit will they wear?
The Three Lions kit has been created by Nike since 2013 with the latest edition due to be released in late summer or early autumn this year.
As reported by Footy Headlines, England’s World Cup home strip is reminiscent of the iconic Umbro Euro 1996 get-up.
The away kit, meanwhile, which will be paired alongside the white top, is set to be a simple red design with matching socks.
It remains to be seen if Southgate will don his infamous waistcoat once again…
