Jude Bellingham was on the end of a painful looking tackle that saw his boot ripped apart.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder was challenged by Cologne’s Salih Ozcan but thankfully wasn’t seriously injured.
The incident occurred in the 52nd minute after he received a pass from left-back Raphael Guerreiro.
Before he could take the ball in though, the Liverpool transfer target was scythed down by the German midfielder.
Whilst his ankle came away relatively unscathed, Bellingham was keen to show the extent of the damage caused.
The 18-year-old’s reaction was one of extreme unhappiness as he threw the broken boot down onto the turf in anger.
The referee did not award a freekick to Dortmund, nor did he give a warning to Ozcan, who eventually received a yellow card later on in the match.
As for the game itself, it was a disappointing result for Bellingham’s side as they were held to a 1-1 draw.
He did play a big part in the goal though by producing a sensational pass from his own half to Marius Wolf.
The result leaves them in second in the Bundesliga, six points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
And the title rivals are set to face each other on April 23 in a game which could potentially be a title decider.
