Aston Villa host Arsenal in one of only three Premier League fixtures this weekend and it’s live on talkSPORT.
The Gunners pushed Liverpool all the way at the Emirates on Wednesday night, but in the end, lost 2-0.
If Arsenal win, they will move four points clear of Manchester United with a game in hand and six points ahead of Tottenham and West Ham.
Villa’s season looks as if it is going to fizzle out, they are 14 points clear of the relegation zone but are ten points behind Wolves in eighth.
So, you would think Steven Gerrard might be thinking about next season and these remaining games are a good opportunity for Villa’s players to impress their manager.
Since the former Liverpool midfielder has arrived at Anfield, Villa have won eight, lost seven and only drawn two league matches, so they have been very inconsistent and that will have to improve as time goes on.

Aston Villa v Arsenal: Team news
The home side won’t have Lucas Digne available to face Arsenal on Saturday, despite being called up to Didier Deschamps’ latest France squad.
This suggests the hamstring problem isn’t too bad, which is good news.
Gerrard also confirmed that Kortney Hause wouldn’t be available for this game.
However, it appears that both Douglas Luiz and Calum Chambers will be fit after suffering facial injuries against West Ham.
There is also good news for Marvelous Nakamba, who is set to return to full training after the international break.
Meanwhile, the Gunners appear to have only one slight injury concern over Takehiro Tomiyasu, who is still struggling.
The Japanese international is back in training but tomorrow might come too soon.
However, as it stands, the Gunners don’t have any more injury problems despite Arteta’s digs at the Premier League over their fixture list.
Arsenal v Aston Villa: What has been said?
Mikel Arteta said: “They have had some positive results in the last few games. He’s (Gerrard) changed the shape, he’s changed a few things that the team is doing. He’s brought a different energy again to that stadium I think. I’m impressed with what he’s doing.”
Steven Gerrard said: “Arsenal are in great form since September and I think Mikel Arteta’s done a fantastic job. He’s really found that consistency that Arsenal have been looking for for a long time.
“Credit to him for that. This game will be different tactically to West Ham. We need to try and find the solutions and a game plan ready for this fixture.”
