Bruno Fernandes is backing Anthony Martial to be a success at Manchester United following his return to the club.
The forward is facing a pivotal summer as he fights for his future at Old Trafford following a difficult couple of years.
After scoring just seven in the 2020/21 campaign, Martial fell way down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick last term, leading to him being sent out on loan to Sevilla in the January transfer window.
Unfortunately the 26-year-old managed just one goal in 12 appearances for the Spanish side.
With new manager Erik ten Hag now in charge, Martial has been handed a fresh opportunity to show his worth at Old Trafford.
Uncertainty over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future means that Martial could be set for a big opportunity.
His first opportunity to impress is on the club’s pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia.
And during his role as cameraman en route to Asia, midfielder Fernandes was given the task of recording a video for the club’s official YouTube channel.
Capturing behind-the-scenes footage of the players on the plane, he cornered Martial, who appears raring to go.
Fernandes narrated: “Look who’s back. Anthony Martial is back!
“He will be back scoring goals.”
The Frenchman cheekily replied: “Give me some assists please.”
Fernandes replied: “I will, for sure man. You know that we have that connection.”
And fans will hope they do get to see it on their pre-season tour.
