A stunner from Mohamed Elneny and two own-goals helped Mikel Arteta start off the 2022/23 campaign in fine form.
Jesus, the £45millon signing from Manchester City, entered the fray for the second half in Germany and found the net with style to thrill the travelling support.
Picking the ball up on the right wing, he picked out Eddie Nketiah and exchanged passed before firing a tight-angle finish into the roof of the net.
Turning out in the Gunners’ no.9 shirt for the first time, Jesus looked well worth the honour as he bagged again, but the real moment of the match was a rocket from Elneny.
Egged on to shoot by teammate Martin Odegaard on Instagram, the Egyptian lined up a rare effort on goal and sent a laser into the top corner of the net.
It was one of five second-half goals for Arsenal who will continue their pre-season campaign against Everton next full of confidence from a fluid display.
Even a Nurnberg ball boy was impressed by Arsenal’s latest recruit Jesus, who paused for a photo post-match while fellow arrival Fabio Vieria watched on.
