If you take a look through some of Cristiano Ronaldo’s old Instagram photos, you’ll mainly see two things – his almost unbelievable abdominal muscles and his multi-million-pound car collection.
That’s probably why he is the most followed person on the social media platform, where he boasts 459 million followers.
Not all of them are tuning in to see the multitude of motors he has, but anyone who is will know his collection is worth quite a bit – £18million to be precise.
Whilst that might seem a lot [which it definitely is], it incredibly takes the Manchester United star LESS THAN 48 HOURS on the pitch to pay it off.
Ronaldo needs to play 33 hours of action in a Red Devils shirt to earn enough cash to pay for his stunning garage full of posh motors.
That works out to be around 22 games, with the Portuguese icon having earned approximately £8,900 every minute he played in the 2021/22 season.
That’s according to a study done by Bill Plant Driving School, which worked out the calculation based on Ronaldo’s £25m-a-year salary at Old Trafford.
The 18 goals he scored in the Premier League last season helped United qualify for the Europa League, which included a hat-trick against Tottenham in March.
The 37-year-old petrolhead is known for treating himself after success on the pitch, and he reportedly celebrated that trio of goals against Spurs by splashing out on a £200,000 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.
It’s one of a number of high-end cars he has in his collection, including a limited edition £8.5m Bugatti Centodieci – one of only ten to have ever been made.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also owns a Bugatti Chiron and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse too, as well as a few Ferrari, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce motors.
Which one he will drive to Man United pre-season training – which he is expected to return to on July 4 – remains to be seen.
Footballers and their car collection value

- Cristiano Ronaldo | £18,064,666
- Neymar | £11,790,864
- Karim Benzema | £7,897,900
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic | £4,555,232
- Paulo Dybala | £2,750,527
- Paul Pogba | £1,600,000
- Heung-min Son | £1,500,000
- Memphis Depay | £1,201,271
- Antoine Griezmann | £850,000
Figures according to Bill Plant Driving School
Everyone knows how competitive Ronaldo is, so he won’t be happy to hear that rival Lionel Messi is ahead of him when it comes to the value of his car collection – and not just by a little bit.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar has nearly £30m’s worth of vehicles to his name.
The likes of Neymar, Karim Benzema, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic sit just below the superstar duo, with Heung-min Son also in the top ten.
But nobody really comes close to either Messi or Ronaldo – a statement that now applies in the garage, as well as on the pitch.
